I have always been drawn to these fans. The design is soo different from anything that was produced. A lot of the fans have an aircraft cowling design. This is because the designer Ralph K. Odor was originally designing an aircraft when he branched off to design fans. I restored the one below and love using it on those hot days.
Restoration!
I came across a “link” that shows you how to convert these fans into lights. This is soo cool but only do it to a non-working one. It would be a shame to take one of these out of service.
Here are some great Vornado fans that I found on-line. I would love to own all of them. I just love the style and the functionality and how they both came together. If you see one of these make sure to snag it.
Ok thats it you hav eto come over here and show me how you do all your revamps so cool!

Thanks Nelly,
I am happy with the way it turned out too. I would love to go to Australia. My step father lived there for a while because his mother was from there. Visiting Australia is on my “bucket list”.

I love that black table one too. I thought that cardboard cutout of the she-astronaut was so racy for the time period and yes she is easy on the eyes…..beam me up Scotty!

My research indicates that after A.O Sutton Corp. went bankrupt a New Jersey Company called Two Guys bought the Vornado name for use as the name of Two Guys departments store’s house brand. I have seen the Vornado name on a steam Iron (made by Proctor SIlex), a couple of blenders, a couple of electric hand mixers, transistor radios, a table top oven/broiler, and even Xmas tree lights. Later on Two Guys real estate arm even became known as Vornado Reality

Your best bet would be to cruise eBay or Etsy to find one. Or, maybe another reader knows how to find a manual.
